These domain names can have up to 63 characters, with a minimum of 1 character, and can contain letters (a-z), numbers (0-9) and hyphens (except in the 3rd or 4th characters of the domain name). You cannot register domain names with special characters such as & and #.

Who can register .group domains?

Anyone can register .group domain names on a first-come, first-served basis.

Renewals

We'll attempt to auto-renew your .group domain on its expiration date. We'll park .group domain names after the first failed billing attempt. If the domain isn't renewed within 40 days following expiration, we cancel it and remove it from your account.

Refund details

Donuts domain names are refundable if cancelled and processed within five days of registration (120 hours).

For Auto-Renewals: For one-year renewals, domain names are refundable if canceled within 45 days after expiration (not necessarily within 45 days after renewal). For multiple years, refundable if canceled within five days of the renewal date. The ICANN fee is only refundable within 5 days of renewing a domain name.

For Manual Renewals: Domain names are refundable if canceled within five days of manual renewal.

Nameserver requirements

Two nameservers are required for .group domains to resolve, and a maximum of 13 nameservers is allowed. DNSSEC, IPv4 and IPv6 are supported.
