Point my domain's email service to Google

If your domain name uses Google Apps for its email service you need to manually point your domain name's email service to it. This is done by changing your domain name's Mail Exchanger (MX) records, which control where email sent to your domain name gets delivered. If you're curious about how that works, see What is an MX record?.

Looks like you're not logged in. If you log in above (under Text Icon), we can save you a couple of steps.

  1. Go to the DNS Management page.
  2. On the DNS Management page, in the Records section, click the Click pencil icon on existing MX records(pencil icon), and then the Click trashcan icon to delete MX record(trashcan icon) to delete any existing MX records.
  3. At the bottom of the section, click Add and select MX from the menu. Fill out the the fields with the information from the table below. Click Save after adding each record, then Add to add a new one.
  4. Note: Be sure to include trailing dot (.) at the end of any full-qualified domain names (for example, server.example.com.) if your MX records require this format.

    Host Points to Priority

    @ ALT2.ASPMX.L.GOOGLE.COM 5
    @ ALT3.ASPMX.L.GOOGLE.COM 10
    @ ALT4.ASPMX.L.GOOGLE.COM 10

Note: These changes can take up to seven days to reflect on the Internet.
